I have used the Opsin now for about a year and a half. For my use case, it is preferred over analog. Border operations are vastly enhanced and the ability to record and see color at night is something the team relies on. To differentiate individuals (exa. "looking for the guy with the blue backpack") and to call out gps coords with a relative compass heading on the spot is so fast and handy. Analog guys are essentially disadvantaged in every situation out here except in New Moon situations or heavy cloud cover, and they rely on me. I do keep a pvs-14 monocular as a backup device for those situations, but I lose a lot of functionality, and prefer to use the Sionyx in most situations.
