It works, like surprisingly well. If its a new moon out and cloudy it wont be very effective without some illumination. If its anything greater than a new moon (even when its cloudy) I can see 3 or 400 yards into my property clear enough to make out facial features. The only thing i'd improve is making one with a reticle...
