I had a great experience buying from Smallable despite the overall polarizing and more negative reviews. Received my item within 3 days, shipping from France to Canada. I was charged duty fees from the postage company, as to be expected, but Smallable offers a full refund which was quick and easy through their online forum. Received my refund only a couple days after my request. I personally haven't bought through any other company that handles the duty fees and so I was very satisfied with my experience.
