It works well for us. Easy to use and set up. A simple GET or POST protocol to make use of it, whereby you send your username, password, and message, and it sends it. 100% reliability for us so far.
Works over http and https - using it over http is a security risk of course, because anyone can then sniff your username and password along the network and then send messages on your account - I'm surprised smsbroadcast have not made it https only. We use it https only of course, as any sensible developer would.
Another criticism is that it doesn't support the escaped characters in the GSM 03.8 character set, so you can't send square brackets, backslash, tilde, Euro symbol, pipes, curly brackets etc - it loses a star for that.
