It seems like a nice invention at first glance, but I didn't buy it because I play the violin and I know that in order to achieve a good sound, the muscles in your arms, wrists and hands have to be relaxed and loose. The vibrations from the metronome on your arm or wrist would cause the muscles in your whole body to tense up due to the (unexpected) buzz, causing an uneven sound from both the left and the right arm, wrist and hand.
I suppose it could work better for other instruments but if thought through, I don't think it is the right thing for violinists.
