I bought the Minuendo to protect my ears as a musician but also a producer.
The difference between these and normal earplugs is like night and day, the clarity and the definition of every sound remains pretty much the same, but at a consistent lower db volume.
It's an investiment, but it will surely make life easier for every professional level music worker in the long run.
