I am highly disappointed in my experience with Southwest Airlines. I tried to book with their App as I have done many times before, and it took me down to the last step of payment and gave me an error code and instructed me to try again. It wasn’t until the third try-and two checking accounts later-that I called directly to an agent on the phone. They said my card was declined and I checked my account to see that I had been charged three times over two accounts with no booking confirmation. The agent said it was my banks fault and would not assume responsibility for the issue. I called several financial institutions and received details and facts that Southwest had placed the hold on the funds and I was now out of $4,000 for no reason. SWA claimed it would fall off, but in the meantime I could not make purchases (i.e. groceries, bills, gas, etc.) until the charges dropped. 7 days later the charges finally dropped. After exclaiming to SWA that daily that their app had cause an extreme inconvenience and financial burden, they dismissed me and tried giving me a $150 voucher to spend more money I didn’t have. I will no longer be using this airline and I encourage you to be vigilant when using their services. Also, they said it doesn’t happen very often, so they treated me as if this was not a care or concern for them.
