I measured correctly and the trousers were too tight in the waist. Previous sizes one up had kept falling down but these are way too tight. Their advice was to buy the next size up so I will, just not with Spoke. Customer services are prissy and the returns process a convoluted pain. My trousers are going to charity and I am going to another rag merchant. An expensive lesson. Caveat Emptor.
