And you express this – via a multitude of talented and considerate voices, through text and image and design and (mostly joyful) reports of your obsessive scrutiny – in each issue of STANDART. Sometimes with a too-intense whiff of academia, occasionally with an overreach toward clever artistry, but always intent on a celebration of the very human bean that so many of us like to imbibe the processed elixirs of. And you cover, too, in issue after issue, the lives of the people involved in the whole sprawling, global, everchanging business of coffee. And that is why I like to read STANDART.
