Well I started cooking beets. instructions said 1 cup then beets on veg steam I did 10 min. for three med. had to cook another 10. wish you could give more info. I have sent away for the cook book hope it give more detail. Oh I did 4 heads of brocoille. for 6 min and it was perfect.
I guess its trial. Over all I like it.
