I've had my power pressure cooker xl for about two years. The silicone around the lid does not create an adequate seal and steam seeps out. Even in replacing the silicone band, the seal is not adequate and the water evaporates. It has taken longer to cook a meal and requires constant supervision. This is such an inconvenience and I will be purchasing a different brand.

I bought this because it looked like a good product. It works well except the inner pot is very difficult to clean , now the teflon finish is comming off. I am very disappointed if you look for a preswure cooker get one with a stainless steel inner pot.

I had to throw mine away after using it about a dozen times. It wouldn’t seal and the control panel stopped working. I would never buy this brand of anything again. A big waste of money!

Not recommended. We used ours six or seven times and then it quit powering on. I called their customer support and since it was past the 60 day warranty time frame, I should just throw it away. I'd never buy this brand again.

I really love pressure cooking but I can’t recommend this Power Pressure Cooker XL (ours is 10quart) brand. The first 8-10 times I used it, it was with wonderful food results. HOWEVER, it’s a challenge to clean crevices properly without unscrewing bottom. Teflon stains and wears down immediately. I enjoy the extra components that come with it but you have to stack it properly inside to store and it’s super HEAVY. Also, after about 10 uses, we could not get the unit to PRESSURIZE seal. We bought 2 more Rubber sealing rings since ours seem very loose after about 10 uses. ALSO, Pressure seal/valve Vent about never seem to hold in position in OPEN or CLOSE...just keeps spinning. I’m really wondering if we got a faulty unit.

My cooker is just a couple years old & I have used it many times. Yesterday was making Italian ribs and gravy recipe, and while browning the ribs, power went off completely. Had to transfer contents of cooker to cook in pot on range. Not sure if it's the cord or the cooker itself. Will call company to see what they recommend. Very unhappy.

The Teflon on the inner pot started coming off after the first use. I called Tri Star and they said they would send me another inner pot. That was a couple months ago. I have called a few times and all they can tell me it it is still on back order. It would seem they have no intention of doing the right thing and either replace the entire pressure cooker or get any replacement pots in. This thing is as useless as the company Tri Star is.

pressure cooking eggs in it is awesome, nothing better. Rice/Risotto setting, 1 1/2 cup water--When done put in ice bath and they peal perfect in about two seconds--Never boil eggs again, pressure cook em. I've done dozens and perfect everytime.

Pressure cooker works great. Don't order anything extra. Ordered a spatula and never received it. Called about it several times with no results. Pan on the inside rusts.

I wish there was negative stars! I bought this product with high hopes and so did 3 of my friends- all of us experienced the pressure cooker dying and not pressurizing. Called Tristar customer service and they were worthless. Told me product is so bad- they don’t manufacture it anymore. The rep tried to sell me Emeril’s products. Bought emerils air fryer and it’s great. I just want a pressure cooker. She could not even offer me a discount on the ones they are throwing away. I explained to her that amazon is still selling the pressure cooker xl and she said if it dies-it obviously will- take it up with amazon. In this day and age - customer service is imperative. Tristar is absolutely the worst at customer service. I met Emeril before in his restaurant in Miami while I was with Dan Marino and he is an amazing person. I think he would be mortified that tristar is representing his product. Very disappointing.

I was hesitant to hop on the pressure cooker band wagon, but when my husband got me the Power Pressure Cooker XL (10 quart), I soon learned that I do need a pressure cooker in my life... just not this one. I was in love at first, but after using it about 10 times, the computer for the digital display started going haywire. In a nutshell, it would revert to the rice/risotto setting every time. I kept using it, and just adjusting the time manually by cooking through 2 rice/risotto settings, or cancelling early. A couple days ago, the display stopped responding alltogether. When I plug it in, it automatically turns on "keep warm", and none of the buttons do anything. I called customer service, and the solution they offered was for me to send the unit in at my own expense, along with a $25 money order, and they would fix or replace it. I believe that a company with a good product will stand behind their product, and if your customer service and warrantee falls short, it's probably not worth replacing. I'll be buying and Insta-pot instead.
