Although the pressure cooker xl 8 qt worked well for my needs, i was unhappy at having to purchase a new valve assembly with a unit less than a year old. ALSO THE PROBLEM WAS THE O- RING THAT HELD THE VALVE IN PLACE. I was not able to order just the o- ring but had to purchase the whole assembly.
