99% of the Course materials are excellent, there are occasionally some outdated items and some spelling mistakes. The courses are the best you can get without having a real human to question in-person. One advantage you get is that these courses are able to offer more supplementary material than is possible to cover in a face-to-face course and you can go through it in your own time (however fast or deliberate you wish to be) as well as go back to revisit the material as many times as you wish. I liked the use of videos in some of the course chapters, these are really where an online course should be focusing its efforts (eventaully making their own and or collating the best available things) in lieu of the chance for stories, questions and experiences offered by an instructor in a face-to-face course. The negatives? Only one: You have to pay extra for a physical certificate...Seafarers ALWAYS need a physical certificate so this annoyed me terribly!
