Sunshine is very reliable and helpful travel company. The only problem we have ever had was this year on a Monarch Airline flight to Palma Majorca on the 14th June 2017 ZB876. Sunshine on their printed flight information instructed us to check-in at Luton Airport at the check-in desk (not beforehand online) We did this arriving 2 1/2 hours beforehand to make sure of a good seat sitting together. To our surprise we found that nearly all the seats had already been allocated. Not only did we have to sit in separate seats but I, over 6 feet tall, was allocated what must be the worst seat on the aircraft. It was a 2 seat row and not the usual 3 seat row. My seat 8E was right up against the hard plastic thin edge of the flight stewards seat and a large gentleman the other side. There was no room to move and on mentioning this to a stewardess informed me that the seat behind had long leg room and I could move to it at "extra cost" I had to stand for most of the flight to avoid cramp as I could not move in that seat. It seems most people checked in before arriving at the airport. Sunshine did not give us any instructions to check-in in advance online. What we want to know is why? I checked with Monarch and they provide a check-in online in advance service. This was a very bad start to an otherwise most enjoyable holiday with Sunshine.
