AWFUL, WRETCHED CROOKS who will seemingly stop at nothing to rip off a customer for as much as possible.
We paid them more than £5,000 for electric bikes, and couldn't collect immediately, due to an unexpected and life-threatening illness. When we tried to arrange collection, they advised that:
(1) They were keeping our payment for storage charges;
(2) They have re-auctioned the inventory.
Even if their approach had been acceptable, they would need to deduct the contractually agreed storage charges from the total of our payment and the re-auction proceeds. They had no intention of this, and simply kept the money.
On looking at their terms and conditions, we found that the contractually agreed storage charges were £1 per day per item which, for the 17 items that were now missing, would have amounted to around £1,000 (not the estimated £11,000 that they received from us and the re-auction).
Litigation is underway, and reports compiled for all relevant authorities. We're also very interested to hear from anyone with similarly serious experiences of these crooks.
