Light enough to carry around but sturdy enough not to fall over. I use the hook thing to weigh it down which is connected to a 5 litre container of liquid, but it hasn't been tested in really strong winds yet. I got two full loads of laundry on the line. Love that the line folds up easily out of the way. No more fighting with one of those clunky crazy clothes horses!
