For running they are great. However, when using them in my bike shoes, although riding was fine, the material really stuck to the Velcro on the bike shoes when I slipped out of the shoes, put my feet back on the shoes in order to dismount. So, for either bike or run, they are fine, but too clingy doing the transition.
