I’ve been sharing my details digitally for a few years now. I usually show a QR code on my phone that leads to my LinkedIn or to my Linktree profile which is similar in some ways to the Tapzo profile. However, I started to notice people tended to lose interest in our conversations when I went into my phone to find the QR code, especially in group settings. Because my head was down in my phone, people took that as a sign to disconnect from the conversation and begin new ones. It never really bothered me too much as ultimately they still got my details when I found the QR code and made them scan it. The way you portray and compose yourself are direct reflection of your brand. A random QR code on a phone doesn’t exactly scream professional. Now I’m representing my company with the design of the card rather than just a random QR code on my phone and more importantly I don’t have to break eye contact / not have my head down in my phone when networking, all whilst still digitally sharing my details and being sustainable.
