I'm a Tech Youtuber so I own several different NFC cards from various companies. Is Tapzo the best one? Tough to decide. Is Tapzo worth buying? Absolutely.
Now let me start by saying that Tapzo doesn’t offer all the bells and whistles that some others may, but we’re talking about business cards here. I think a lot of the other companies have slightly lost sight of what’s important and required from a business card.
So what does Tapzo offer that still makes them a strong contender?
Simply put; they do what you want and it’s done well.
Tapzo is easier to use, cheaper than others for what they offer and more importantly runs faster than others.
The system that you log into and update your details on, Tapzo seem to have taken a very primitive approach to this. At first, it may seem a bit bare-bones, and underwhelming but here lies the beauty. A system that can be used by anyone.
The price is somewhere in the middle amongst all the players in this field and there are a few of them! But when you consider that cheaper options lack certain features that Tapzo offers, so if you compare like for like, Tapzo is one of the cheapest out there.
The performance of the card. Arguably the most important factor of the card. So what a lot of people aren’t aware of is that you have to have some form of network connectivity to use any of these cards, either phone reception or wifi. This is because the card will open a webpage on your phone when tapped and that webpage is your profile with all your details. This is just how the tech works. You don’t need much of a connection, in fact, the cards still work with near to no reception. But the problem lies in how long it takes the profiles to load when in bad reception areas. Tapzo’s simple approach to how everything works has resulted in a streamlined profile that loads considerably faster than every other card I’ve tested.
You see those bells and whistles that some offer (after a paid upgrade or not-another-frikin-subscription-argh) are nice, but are they necessary? Yes, it’s cool to track the exact geo-location of where I tapped my card, but surely I remember where I was when I tapped my card? Like how is that data helping me?
At the end of the day, if you want a card that works well and is priced well, Tapzo is a solid strong contender that you won’t be disappointed with.
