The tent was NOT factory-packed. It was very crumpled (wasn't carefully repacked following original creases) and smelled a bit 'cheesy'. The box had been wet and mould had started to form both on the box and tent canvas. Not happy! However, because we were extremely pleased with the tent itself, having chosen it after a lot of research we decided to erect it to let it breathe. Also returning it was too much hassle as we were heading off to go camping soon afterwards. Fortunately the smell has mostly dissipated. It would have been respectful if we were warned that it wasn't factory-packed.
