Recently bought the “light weight” version of the Oztent 3 online - a pretty seamless experience - and erected it in the backyard. It seems an excellent product although not much lighter (but quite a bit cheaper) than the canvas version, in part due to the inclusion of very heavy steel pegs which I plan to replace with lighter plastic ones. First camping trial coming up in a couple of weeks. My wife and I, now in our mid-seventies, have used mozzie domes and swags for the last thirty or more years but a recent ultimatum from my wife about not wanting to crawl into a tent has prompted the change. My only reservation is that lifting the fairly heavy bag (even without the steel pegs) onto and off the roof rack may be getting beyond me…. Stand by for a further report.
