Ordered early April. On June 6th'th it's not arrived. Staff @ Tentworld agrees I can walk away and get a full refund as the purchasing department has no ETA, but I need to present my debit card in store to process refund.
1h later I buy a tent from different store. 1h after this I arrive at Tentworld to get my refund, but Manager @ Tentworld refuses to issue refund.
Manager said Staff was not authorized to cancel order and Manager didn't bother to call me when he was informed (Manager, and all staff, were too busy).
There is no dispute that Staff did say I could walk away with a full refund, and as I had already purchased another tent, we're looking at VCAT if I don't get my refund in the next few days.
Poorly handled by Manager as internal communication failures is not a customers problem. If manager had done the right thing and called me, I would have rented a tent for my camping trip in 2 weeks time, or purchased a 4-season tent, possibly from Tentworld. Now, I have no interest in buying anything from Tentworld again.
PS: Hope nothing bad happens to Staff member.
