I ordered and paid for a washing machine from Tesco direct on a Monday and was promised delivery the following Monday. I phoned the supplier on Thursday to confirm delivery only to be told the machine was out of stock and my order had been cancelled.
Both Tesco and Hotpoint, who were the supplier, had my phone number and email address yet neglected to inform me of this. I had to contact Tesco on Friday in order to arrange a refund and was told I would have to wait a further seven days for an alternative product.
Needless to say on Saturday I went to a competitor who was prepared to take my custom more seriously and not only was I given a 30% discount I was offered free next day delivery.
As I sit here on Sunday morning with my washing machine installed and washing it's first load I am still awaiting confirmation from Tesco that my original order has been cancelled.
The Moral of my little story is, if you want superior service use Curry's.
