I bought a vacuum cleaner and it stopped working two months later. I called the technical service and they asked me to call the manufacturer directly instead of taking care of the problem themselves. This is against the Consumer Rights Act and, unsurprisingly, also against what they claim in their returns policy web site: "From 30 days after receipt of the goods until 12 months, we will arrange for a repair or replacement of the goods and, if this does not work, a refund." As I'm tired of wrestling Tesco's customer service, I will call the manufacturer myself but, it goes without saying, this is the last time I buy anything from Tesco. There are too many online shops that deal with these problems efficiently to be wasting time on this one.
