It’s 0dark:30 and I haven’t even made my coffee yet, but here I am reviewing what has been the best thing about my experience with The Author Incubator! And why not? I’ve been reviewing it all night! My body has been buzzing with excitement since the opening moments of the Author Incubator training I attended last night! Well, really since I saw the post on Facebook yesterday and immediately signed up for the training. The BEST thing about my experience with The Author Incubator is the warm excited feeling of being seen and welcomed, as if I were a long lost member of the tribe who just showed up at the door again during the Holy Days, after a long adventure away and a long journey back. And everyone wants to hear my story! That feeling of being recognized and loved has filled my body with waves of excitement and anticipation. I filled out the application immediately following the training. I wrote my heart out for three and a half hours telling the (abrogated) story of my journey and adventure, my dreams and visions, my hopes and fears. I tumbled into bed exhausted and with a satisfied feeling of having made my best effort, no matter how incomplete. It was done. I told my wife that no matter what happened, I felt like I had seized an opportunity and took my best shot, and there is satisfaction in that. Apart from anything else, at least now I know quite precisely what is truly important to me, what I value above all, from being pushed, shoved really, to open up and just shine all that out.
