Since childhood, writing has been my love. I’ve had some local recognition for my poetry and attempted writing novels but for many of the reasons you deem as excuses, failed to follow through. Nevertheless, I enjoy the process. I believe writing is a talent to which one is driven, a compulsion if you will. Eerily, you spoke to some of my dilemmas, including what I should write about and the purpose it might serve and realize my attempts have been unsuccessful because I needed a purpose. Poetry was easy because it helped me reflect experiences and provided a platform for sharing and coping with my feelings healthily.
