I tried the eBay $60 electric fence and collar. It lasted 3 weeks and was broken/burnt out. The dog line collars we bought are so robust, made in the USA. Seemed expensive but our (very large, strong) retriever is no longer playing at the neighbour's gate at 5am, chasing their dogs up and down the fence. We've bought a second collar for the kids' visiting dogs, plus a remote trainer. The stress relief is huge to know we can train our dogs better on walks, and otherwise keep them within the property. No more jumping up into the dog bowl either.
