I To remove my battery on my mini Cooper took my ECU out, set it on both ground and hot battery and fried My ECU went to a wrecking yard got a secondhand, one same identical part numbers as the one that I had. sent both in they programmed it and programmed the key. I thought it wasn’t working what happened was my locksmith who took my EWS out accidentally disconnected my clutch and so when I put my foot on the clutch, it wasn’t clutching so that my vehicle would start connected the clutch wire back and the vehicle Started right up. Both keys worked fine
