This was the first time I participated in such an experience; I really loved the whole idea behind the project, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience. I enjoyed seeing a bit of Zanzibar while getting to know people in the community. African Impact truly makes an impact here, and I was reminded of this daily every time I bumped into students even the ones from the nurseries. Kids running up to you for a hug or the adults stopping you on the street to say hello was truly amazing. I was impressed by the commitment adult learners showed by showing up to class eager to learn.
