Just received 10 pounds of medium chile. It was supposed to ship mid august but did not ship until mid September. I have ordered from this company multiple times over the years and the medium always has some variation from mild to hot but with good flavor no matter the heat. This batch - nothing. Zero heat whatsoever and zero flavor whatsoever. Utterly disappointed. Maybe they weren't ripe enough yet? Maybe I was shipped mild by mistake? Were these outsourced from somewhere else? I spent the weekend roasting and peeling, but I am debating whether I want to go to the trouble of vacuum sealing and freezing these or just chuck them out. A month ago I bought a pound of green chile from a supermarket. It had heat and was tasty. I wish I had just loaded up 10 to 20 pounds from the supermarket. This may be a harsh review as I have generally always had good reviews for this product and company and Covid seems to have somehow screwed up everything, but when you are a near annual customer and spend months anticipating some awesome green chile only to be utterly disappointed, well, I feel I should let the HCS know about it.
