This year we ordered 25 pounds of green chilies, as we do every fall. We order late with the usual experience of receiving seven or eight red chilies in the box of greens. For some reason this year the box of greens had no reds. Zero. None at all.
I was a little disappointed in that so when I saw you were offering 10 pound boxes of fresh reds I wanted one. When received the peppers were kind of dry and many of them were cracked and slightly rotten. My net yield From the red peppers order was real low. It seems like in the long run I had to spend an extra weekend roasting seeding and cleaning up. I also had to pay FedEx twice. It's October in the Pacific Northwest, so needless to say I'm having to roast these peppers in the rain. I ended up with about twice as many roasted reds in ziplock bags at the end of the day. But I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost and effort. Just gives the perception that the Reds I would've gotten in the green order we're held back. If this is actually the case, I'm not really a fan of it. The second order of the season (the red Peppers) was not up to your usual standards.
