I grew up in NM and moved to California in 1990. I've always relied on friends and family to ship me hatch every year. Many times 1/3 of the shipment was lost to spillage and/or confiscated by Califotnia Agriculitural. I've ordered from the Hatch Chili Store three years now and have been very pleased. This season we order 50lbs of fresh chile and only one pod went bad.
