I grew up in the San Luis Valley eating Hatch chili my whole life. I retired from the military and now live in the San Diego area and for many years have been getting my chili by having my family still living in the area putting some away for me and then driving down to get it. I love that I can get it sent directly to me at a fair price and can roast and store in the size of packages that I want. I ordered the Big Jims this time because my supply of the Hot from last year was still sufficient. I rated the chili overall as good because the has great flavor and fairly meaty. The only reason I didn't rate it as Very Good was because the batch I received was pretty scarred up but it did not effect the taste that I noticed.
