I called customer service and got a detailed answer to my question. Very nice to have a real person on the phone for a change. They had upgraded my order to second day air because I failed to see the selection on the website and it defaulted to ground. That was all very nice but second day air to my location turned out to be at least 56 hours probably more (I received them at 8 p.m.) from their freezer to my hands. Needless to say the chile was completely thawed even though it was in a styrofoam chest. The Hatch chile store really should invest in some of those gel freezer paks and throw them in the container. That would have helped. The chile was still cold though so I refroze it immediately. I haven't had a chance to make rellenos yet but the chiles are nice sized, roasted and peeled so I expect them to be very good.
