We are green chile lovers, but living in Boston meant relying on the occasional bag of frozen chile whenever we visited family. But in 2011 I discovered Berridge Farms and the Hatch Chile Store and they have helped to satisfy our green chile fix ever since. Now, our green chile roast has become an annual event. With pozole, beans, red chile stew, and all the fixins for Frito pies, for one glorious evening I can pretend I’m back in Santa Fe. The folks at the Hatch Chile Store are really great, and the product is wonderful – meaty fresh pods that arrive on my doorstep ready to roast. Highly recommended! And their prepared foods too – the frozen chile rellenos are another family favourite 😉
