The taste is pleasant. We ordered the Med-hot Big Jim. 3/4 of the chiles we got seem to be closer to medium w/ the remaining 1/4 being hot. Six of about 60 were broken or cracked but cutting off the ugly parts cost us less than 1% of our ten pounds.
The box was torn some--all my deliveries are like this lately. Either cardboard is weaker or (I suspect) UPS is rougher and less careful.
