As I'm very pleased with the service that I have received in the past from the Hatch Chile Store, the chile that I received this year has not lived up to the chile that I had received in the past. I have been ordering from The Hatch Chile Store for maybe the past three or four years and this is the first year I have been disappointed in the product that I received. Some of the chile that I received was soft and mushy and had to be thrown away. In the past when I have received my box of chile, you could smell all the goodness inside, this year no such smell and the chile does not have that delicious flavor that Hatch chile is know for. No flavor at all. This is the first year that I have been so disappointed in the chile. Not good!
