I had to have my suit jacket sleeves taken up in a hurry which meant the buttons had to be moved up the sleeve too. Because the suit has a contrasting stitch detail to the material color, I did not want to lose the stitching so this also had to be moved. I did need the alteration done same day (granted - my own fault) however when I collected the jacket 2 hours later, I was charged £88!! £88 for the shortening of two sleeves, moving 4 buttons p/sleeve and stitching 8 non-functioning button holes. I vented my frustration another tailor in town after the incident who tells me she would have charged me no more than £30 for the same alteration in the same timescale! I shall not be using the zip yard again.
