I've been using the Zipyard for several years by having items altered, taken in, taken up or remodelled, and have always been delighted with the skill and courtesy of the seamtresses. They are friendly, polite and knowledgeable, although when visiting yesterday, they were clearly working under considerable pressure in the absence of any management or front of house staff. The seamtresses were having to take a lot of flak from customers who should have been dealt with by someone on the front desk, instead of taking them away from their workroom. When the manager is in, he's not the most knowledgeable, is more interested in being flippant with customers, regardless of how many are in the queue and seems more of a hindrance than an asset to the very capable and talented team of ladies in the back room, who are brilliant at their job, but are not being supported by the manager
