I brought my bridesmaid dress in to get a new zip fitted as the one that was originally on it was popping open when I put it on (although it wasn't visibly broken and still zipped up and down). Everyone was very helpful and I paid my £20 for a new zip. I was told that it would take 2 weeks which was fine as I was in no rush. I got the text to say it had passed quality control and went in to pick it up. As soon as I tried it on, it popped open in exactly the same place - upon closer inspection, it was evidently the same zip as before. I took it back the next day and was told that it would be 'redone'.
When I picked it up yesterday, the zip had been replaced and the assistant admitted that originally they had 'fixed' the zip rather than replacing it which is not what I paid for.
The replacement is very good and the actual job they have done can't be faulted but it's a real shame that I didn't get what I had paid for originally and lucky that I didn't leave it until the morning of the wedding to try it on again!
