G.V.V.
This is the second time I’ve ordered a game and had it delivered to the wrong address. I reached out to support immediately, but the response was slow and unhelpful. By the time the issue was finally addressed, the game I originally ordered had gone out of print — which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. What makes it worse is that this isn’t a one-off situation. It’s a repeated problem, and it feels like there’s little accountability or urgency when mistakes happen. I expect better service and more efficient problem resolution, especially when dealing with limited or time-sensitive items. As customers, we shouldn’t be caught in the middle of disputes between sellers and couriers, especially when other companies are able to resolve such issues within 24 hours. Situations like this should be addressed immediately, with any disputes handled between the seller and courier—not at the customer’s expense. While it’s true that refunds are available, I feel The Game Collection is missing the point. We purchase Nintendo Switch games because we want those specific titles. Once they go out of print, they become nearly impossible to find—unless you’re willing to pay hundreds of pounds on eBay. A refund doesn’t help when the product is no longer accessible at a reasonable price. I requested my account be deleted because I found The Game Collection unhelpful, despite the polite tone of their responses. Their actions didn’t match their words. In summary, The Game Collection is a fine place to shop—until something goes wrong. When it does, you’re left waiting weeks for a resolution, only to end up with a refund and the frustration of having to track down a now-scarce game at a much higher price due to limited availability.
