I’m not sure who writes these reviews, as it seems most of them are fake. This has been the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. I placed an order for over £180 worth of goods, paying extra for fast delivery. Despite the package sitting at a depot just 200m from me, it arrived more than a week late—well past the scheduled date.
I even went to the post office myself to ensure I’d receive it on time, but that didn’t help. Frustrated, I called Hip Store’s customer service to cancel the order, as I was leaving for a trip and wouldn’t be able to receive it. They confirmed the cancellation, yet a week later, they still delivered it—to my neighbor.
When I returned, I sent the package back and received confirmation that they had received the return. Now, over a month later, I check my account, and there’s still no refund. I called customer service today, only to be told that they will now process it—taking yet another seven days.
If this were a small local business, I might understand some delays. But Hip Store is a major company backed by JD, and there is absolutely no excuse to hold onto a customer’s money for over a month, especially when the return process was followed correctly. And if I hadn’t called, would they have ever refunded it at all?
This is completely unacceptable. A disgraceful level of service from a company of this size.
