They are water proof! I had to submit 3 scans because I am extremely far sighted. The instructions are in white lettering which I couldn’t see without my glasses. I memorized the instructions and then was able to get a good scan. The last scan I took was outside of a concrete building, in the morning, not in direct sunlight. Love the googles!
