I bought two smart watches one did not work. Two ab trainers that fell apart on taking off badly sellotaped boxes. Obviously returns put back on shop floor. It is not the first time I have bought defective goods from Derby store. The inconvenience of returning goods in covid makes it impossible to get there legally. Goods should be checked and returned to manufacturer but I assume it is easier to put back on shop floor as customers cannot return goods unless they are food shopping.
