Had paint mixed at the Selby Range store. I have used the same industry ral number several times for different types of paint, always a great match. The paint supplied by the Selby store is not even the same tone. I returned to ask them to add the dyes again, as it was far too pale and obviously missing some of the dye. Their Assistant Store Manager, Claire, refused point blank to help. She argued that the previous store hadn’t helped me in this way, which they had. She insisted that I had to contact Dulux directly … no contact details supplied. Was really rude and sullen from the start.
I took the photos and ral to another decorating suppliers, they said that it looks like one of the dyes is missing, so re-adding the colours could help. Unfortunately their machine couldn't take my tin.
I am now left with no paint to finish my kitchen window. It’s a struggle for me to do this anyway; I had kidney surgery last Nov, a tumour removed from by throat in May, have several chronic conditions and need more kidney surgery (removal of part or all of my kidney). I am exhausted anyway without the additional stress of a company that provides faulty goods, and refuses a simple action to try to rectify it.
They sold paint that is not fit for purpose.
