As CTO of C4Med, when looking for an SMS provider, I assumed most providers were much of a muchness. I had a checklist of three requirements: cost, reliability and simplicity of RESTful API consumption. The SMS Works ticked all three boxes. Cost was very competitive and we only pay for what is sent (bounced texts are re-credited). We have had no failed texts and no latency in sending (and that’s in over 12 months of continuous daily use). API consumption is a few lines of code with easy to follow online documentation and Swagger. Low credit emails, together with automatic top-up (should you want it) ensure we never run out of credit when we need to send reminders and informational texts. For developers and I.T. managers who just want to integrate SMS functionality without ceremony, faff and complexity, I would recommend The SMS Works. Their technical team are very approachable and always happy to answer any questions. This for me was the extra reason for going with them as I was up and running within hours.
