We have booked our trip to Kerala and we had an amazing experience. The only hotel where we faced some issue was in Thekkady "Spice groove", they din't had proper food and we had to wait a lot for food to come and looks they were out of stock on everything, I will suggest to book some other hotel if in Thekkady.
