I was timed out at the first attempt. The verified by Visa thing is a bit tricky. I had to fetch my code. Luckily I found it quickly and was successful at the second attempt. However, should there be some prior notice that it will be required at the point of finalizing purchase, it would definitely make things a lot easier.
