I wish I'd checked out reviews before ordering from them.
I ordered a Google Chromecast Ultra. This is a UK website, and paid in GBP. What was ordered was a US model with an adapter (which is, in fact, illegal to sell in the UK under the Plugs and Sockets Safety Regulations 1994).
Their attitude is to raise an RMA, and make you pay for postage to Hong Kong and a potential £50 restocking fee!
I refuse to do so and will raise the case with PayPal and (should they fail) my credit card company - I would advise anyone already having fallen foul of TobyDeals to do the same.
Update: PayPal refused my claim but American Express allowed it - I suspect partly because I sent them pictures of the warranty statement which stated it only covered US purchase. I would strongly advise anyone who has fallen foul of TobyDeals' illegal sale of non-UK socketed equipment to raise a case with their credit card company, with pictures showing any warranty rendered not applicable and writing the Sale of Goods Act and the Plugs and Sockets Safety Regulations 1994.
