Michael
Legitimate company turned SCAM I've been a faithful subscriber to Tokyo Treat for nearly two years without issue. However, they've used the COVID-19 pandemic to turn their company into a scam. For context, my May box shipped on April 13th with an expected ETA of 3-5 weeks. At the end of that time, I contacted Tokyo Treat to let them know it never showed. This was after they charged me an extra $5.00 without consent to track the package, and then never provided tracking. They asked me to wait 2 more weeks. 2 more weeks go by, and the box still hasn't arrived. So I contact them again, now asking for a refund. They again ask me to wait. This box has been missing for 2.5 months now and they can't tell me where it is. Their customer service team also refuses to do anything, instead answering with lies and copied/pasted responses. Be especially wary of any replies you receive from Selly or Kartini. After repeatedly asking to escalate the issue to a manager, I still haven't gotten my money back. They also refuse to cancel the remaining unshipped boxes on my account. I have been forced to file a complaint with the BBB and dispute the charges on my credit card. You can also see how quickly they turned to scamming customers by the staggering amount of fake reviews on this website. All you need is an email address to sign up.
